The Kimball Fire & Rescue Department has immediate openings for Volunteer Firefighters.  Preference will be given to individuals that are available for daytime hours (6 a.m. - 6 p.m.).  Volunteer firefighters are compensated for training, duties, standing watch and special events.

The purpose of this position is to minimize loss of life and property in the City of Kimball, Fairhaven Township, Kingston Township and Maine Prairie Township from fires, natural disasters, life-threatening situations and to assist other emergency agencies.  The Kimball Fire & Rescue Department also provides public fire safety education.

This position is responsible for responding to fire calls, extinguishing and controlling fires as a member of a team under the supervision of a fire officer, responding to medical emergency calls and performing rescue and first aid as needed.  The applicant will also maintain fire apparatuses, equipment and facilities; attend regular meetings and assigned training sessions to maintain and upgrade firefighter skills.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent, must be 18 years of age or over, possess valid Minnesota Driver's License and live within the Kimball Fire & Rescue District
